Before making your appointment, please ascertain that you have all the required documents according the checklist.

As from the 29th of May 2013, the French Consulate in Johannesburg will implement biometry for the issuances of all visas. The collection of fingerprints will be done by Capago South Africa and will require all applicants to appear in person. This procedure, set by the European Union, will facilitate traveling between the Schengen States and third countries and accelerate passenger controle when entering the European territory. Applicants are informed that during the set up of biometry, the number of applicants will be limited from Monday 27th of May to 31th May 2013. 

Warning: The use of services of a person or company who propose to mediate to get you an appointment with Capago for a sum of money unrelated to the cost of a telephone or internet communication, is likely to your detriment during the investigation of your visa by the Consulate. Only visa fees and expenses approved by the Consulate Service may be requested.
